VVDI 2 Feedback:  06 range rover sport CEM read ok, made a key with VVDI2 immo data tool.. Great!

Confusion and solution: 

Confusion: I did one of these but now how do i add a remote key .. i tried with skp900 to add pcf7941 but it didn’t work.. Is it possible to add a remote key? And how please
Solution:
If you reset a PCF, you no longer have an option to go back to life, you need a lot of information to be able to use it again, you need flasheROM and eep-extended, it does not only work with hitag pages.
Another option is that they (Xhorse) can give, is to create a firmware download as BMW, for other models
And I think that option will not be available, because to do so removed the vvdi-tools
Another option is someone who passes the firmware for the pcf and remote you need. that option I think no one will give it freely.
What you have left is to leave the PCF blank and your investigate.
If for some reason a manufacturer makes the mistake and does not block the PCF and you are lucky to take that full firmware already have an option for your investigation.
I would also be interested in your firmwar.

How to: VVDI 2 make a spare key on A6L / Q7/ EZS-Kessy (JB18)

This is generally the procedure to use VVDI2 to make a spare key for A6L / Q7/ EZS-Kessy (JB18).

. VVDI 2 -> Key Learn -> 4th Immobiliser System Audi -> A6L / Q7/ EZS-Kessy (JB18)

. Read note: Most cars before 2009 use 9S12DT128 chip and cars after 2009 use 9S12DT(G)256

. Choose appropriate chip above -> Read J518 EEPROM with Working Key -> Write down CS and Pin on a piece of paper -> Save EEPROM

. Type CS and Pin into VVDI 2 -> Type “2” for Number of keys to learn -> Insert 8E chip into VVDI 2 ->Select Make Dealer Key -> Select Key Learning

. Insert dealer key into car and switch on for 2 seconds. Then put second key into ignition within 5 seconds. Then press okay after keys are learned.

How to unlock & renew Mercedes W204 ESL by VVDI MB Tool?

As we know ESL easily get broken and a new ESL cost $500, so it is great if a blocked ESL can be renewed! So here you will know how use VVDI MB Tool to renew a blocked Mercedes W204 ESL!

Tools you need:

VVDI MB BGA Tool

VVDI MB NEC ELV adaptor

STEPS to unlock MB W204 ESL by VVDI MB

Step1. Open ESL emulator and take out the PCB. Desolder the IC chip form PCB and solder it to VVDI MB ELV adaptor.

Fix ELV adaptor to VVDI MB Tool.

Step2. Open VVDI MB software, choose “ESL Function: Adaptor” and “Chassis: W204, W207, W212” and click “Read ESL data”.

It will show ESL is locked, click OK to continue.

Step3. Click “Unlock W204 ESL”. Now VVDI MB Tool with NEC ELV adaptor is trying to unlock ESL. (This process may cost about 2~3 hours)

Step4. After that click “Read ESL data” then click “Check ESL damage”.

It will show ESL is unlocked (normal status), click OK and “Save ESL data”. Save this new bin file and rename it to distinguish it from the old one.

Step5. Now solder the IC chip back to ESL and connect ESL to VVDI. Click “ESL Tests”, set “ESL Function: OBD” and click “Read ESL data”, you can see ESL is renewed to normal status successfully!
